One of our favorite screenwriters, Max Landis, discusses his very own process for outlining his stories and puts forth an interesting recommendation for all screenwriters to try as they start crafting their own tales.
Max suggests that stories tell themselves and will tell you how they should end/what beats they should hit along the way. So, if you are struggling with where your story should go next, he says, you should just start writing and the story will go take you where it needs to.
