student screenwriting fellowship

The Student Screenwriting Fellowship will be accepting submissions in Fall 2019. The fellowship is open to all college students (both undergrad and grad) who are diverse, female or, whose scripts feature diversity-themed/female-themed subject matter. Examples include Straight Outta Compton, Woman on Top, Moonlight, Eat Drink Man Woman, Bridesmaids, etc. If you’re not sure if your script qualifies, contact us at entry@writers-for-writers. 

Selected Fellows will be notified of acceptance within four-six weeks of their submission. The selected fellow for 2018 will be mentored by WFW founder Dave Kline.

Students can submit up to three pieces of material including screenplays, television pilots, treatments, novels, and short stories. Writers are also encouraged to submit a CV/bio as well as a mission statement.
